Treasurys reversed earlier losses and gained ground on Tuesday, sending yields lower, after the Federal Reserve forecast an economic slowdown in 2008, boosting expectations that it will further cut interest rates.
The benchmark 10-year Treasury bond was up 4/32 at 101 18/32, yielding (TNX) 4.060%. The 2-year note was up 1/32 at 100 28/32, yielding 3.156%, while the 30-year bond was flat at 108 13/32, yielding (TYX) 4.483%.
